Messenger Plus! Live is an add-on for Windows Live Messenger which adds lots of features and extras that make your instant messenger easier, more useful or just tons more entertaining. Remember that Messenger Plus! is not a chat program, it only adds functionalities to Messenger, it can't be used as a standalone application. Messenger Plus! is not an official add-on from Microsoft. Microsoft is aware of its existence, it tolerates it, but you can't contact the Messenger support team to get help on a Messenger Plus! feature. Also, Messenger Plus! has nothing to do with Windows Plus! or MSN Plus!, both products from Microsoft. That being said, Messenger Plus! is still, by far, the most popular and respected add-on for Messenger and thus, since the year 2001.

Messenger Plus! Live 4.22.274 (01/06/2007)

* Support for the Messenger 8.5.0517 public beta. The interface of Messenger Plus! will be improved to match the changes when the final version of Messenger 8.5 is released.
* Fixed: Messenger may crash if Messenger Plus! cannot initialize properly in some precise circumstances.
* Scripts: fixed Contact objects not accessible in contact events (such as ContactStatusChange) between OnEvent_Signin and OnEvent_SigninReady.
* A couple of small glitches fixed.

Now that the 8.5 cogs are set in motion, all what's needed is the eagerly-awaited Mess Patch, with its 80+ features to help you make Messenger your own. So what's new in this release?

- Another HOT exclusive option that transforms your conversation window to look like the contact list (see screenshot here).

- A new option to remove partner links from the display picture window (as requested by Markus).

- Patching profiles have been removed.

- Bug fixes: Dynamic display pictures now appear properly when viewing full-sized display pictures in the contact card (reported by the andyman), in addition to a dozen of other minor bug fixes.

Worthy of your attention, is that this version of Mess Patch shows a license agreement page if any of the ad-removal options is selected. Advertisements are what keep Windows Live Messenger free and we discourage messers from removing them. Please make sure you read the license agreement thoroughly.
